Gathered in this collection is an extensive, although not complete, selection of covers from companies that include Rosecraft (1957-1974), H&E (1955-1972), Caneco (Canadian Envelope Company, 1954-1973), and Ginn (1959-1966). Within this collection there are also variant editions of some first day covers and generic cachets. Most of the postage stamps were cancelled in Ottawa, while a few have other local cancellations as noted in item level descriptions.Provenance:Additional information:Custodial history:The material in the collection was donated by collector Alfred Lemay to Library and Archvies Canada.Arrangement note:The collection is arranged into 4 series, based on the companies and catalogues created by Alfred Lemay: Rosecraft; H&E; Caneco and Ginn.Source:Private -
