This series consists of personal diaries, press clippings on Roméo LeBlanc, handwritten notes, draft speeches, appointment books, passports and family documents. It contains information on Mr. LeBlanc's years of study in Paris (1954-1955) and his search for a first job in teaching and communications (1952-1965), texts he wrote as a young man and during his university years, intimate personal documents on his separation from first wife Joslyn Carter (1981-1992), genealogical records on the LeBlanc family, official records on LeBlanc family properties in Ottawa and New Brunswick, old documents concerning his first wife's grandfather (James Edgar Johnston), a collection of Canadian stamps (most of them first day covers bearing the House of Commons insignia) (1973-1987), and some medals and pins.
