There is information on the history of the country visited, its agricultural development and situation, on individuals with whom the Minister will meet, and so on. The files contain, in addition to memos, some correspondence and notes re: the trips, as well as some material from External Affairs. There is also print and near-print material on counties visited, brought back by the Minister.
Part of volume 787, titled "general correspondence", does not belong in this sub-series. It is here because of an oversight. It should be with the "Uncarded" material, sub-series 10, or more appropriately with sub-series 9, "Minister's Personal Correspondence". There is some significant correspondence in this volume with MP's, Cabinet Ministers, the PM and the Governor-General, reflecting high-level policy and program issues.Source:Private -
