The album documents the C.P.R. as it existed in the 1890s focussing on the spectacular scenery and engineering achievements such as bridges, tunnels, trestles and snow sheds along the route from Lake Superior westward. Views include: Mink Tunnel, Lake Superior, Ont.; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Calgary, Banff, Bow Valley, Lake Louise, Devil's Lake, Alberta; Thompson Canyon, Albert Canyon, Rogers Pass, Fraser Canyon, Leanchoil Valley, Yale, etc., and Vancouver, British Columbia. Subjects include: Glacier House, Selkirks, B.C.; Cariboo Road, Field Hotel, Mt. Stephen; hoodoos; cedar trees of Stanley Park, Vancouver, B.C.; Banff Springs Hotel, Cascade Mt, Alberta; construction of snow sheds along C.P.R.; Mt. Sir Donald, Mt. Abbott, Mt. Burgess, etc. There are also four views of Niagara Falls, one of Skagway, Alaska, and the Lynn Canal, and 2 views in the Yukon at Miles Canyon.
