Fonds consists of cartoons produced for various newspapers, preliminary sketches for posters and copies of posters issued by the Canadian Wartime Information Board relating to the Second World War, as well as some personal papers and perodicals. There are examples of cartoons produced between 1986-1988 for the Westmount Examiner in Montreal. Other material includes works produced during the artist's formative years in Paris, works produced in 1939 in Mexico, a set of works of the operations of a munitions plant in Montreal in 1942-1943, and a selection of Mayerovitch's later work.
Also included are the personal papers of Harry Mayerovitch arranged in the following 6 series: correspondence; architecture; art; cartoons, commercial work and occassional writings; associations and organizations; and miscellaneous.
Fonds also includes a sound recording of a radio interview of Mayerovitch about his career as an artist with the Wartime Information Board during the Second World War, 1994.
