Sub-series consists of the register which was put in use prior to the official establishment of the High Commission. One of the services provided by the High Commission in London is the receipt of mail for Canadians staying in London. A Canadian visiting or staying in London would notify the High Commission of their address, but would have mail addressed to the High Commission. When mail arrived the staff would use the register to identify travellers and then notify them of the arrival of mail.
