Fonds consists of scrapbooks including some correspondence and newspaper clippings relating to political affairs in Newfoundland and Jackman's business. Subjects include Jackman's opposition to a Newfoundland railway contract, 1898-1904, and his efforts on behalf of confederation with Canada. The fonds also includes a calendar.

Jackman, Edward Michael, b. 1868 : Edward Michael Jackman, a tailor, was a Liberal Member of the Newfoundland House of Assembly, 1900-1909, and Minister of Finance and Customs for that same period.
