Fonds consists of diary notes, 1915-1920, in which Haltrecht recounts his experiences as a young man in Berlin, Germany; Haltrecht's correspondence (primarily with friends and relatives) and documents relating predominantly to his school and work activities, n.d, 1902-1966, as well as clippings and other material relating to the German Canadian League, n.d, 1937-1940, an organization established in 1937 to counter Nazi propaganda in Canada.
