Fonds contains correspondence (originals and transcriptions) and genealogical studies of the Small and Stephen families of Durham, County of Missisquoi, Québec, n.d., 1968-1979, by J.L. Armstrong and material relating to Reid Paige Small (1860-1926), who was in charge of the Canadian fruit exhibit at the Paris Exposition universelle of 1900. It includes a Diplôme de Médaille de Bronze and other memorabilia of the exposition. Originals, 50 pages; transcriptions, 10 pages.

Photographic material consists of photographs of the Paris Exposition (1900), 1900, Paris, Liverpool, Scotland, Ottawa, Montréal and Durham, Québec, 1900-ca. 1980.

Also included is a video recording of Mr. Armstrong's slide show which uses his uncle Reid Page Small's photographs and letters to tell the story of his trip to the Paris Exposition of 1900 while in charge of the fruit exhibition in the Canadian Pavilion, 1987.
