Fonds consists of Father O'Leary's notebooks in 2 volumes, describing the holdings of archival repositories in Quebec, extracts from parish registers and notes on Canadian militia commissions and the Jesuit Estates.

O'Leary, Peter Michael, 1850-1929 : Educated at the Quebec Seminary and ordained in 1879, Peter Michael O'Leary began teaching at the Quebec Seminary the same year. He entered parish work in 1883, but returned to his teaching position in 1889, remaining at the Seminary until 1899, when he volunteered for service in South Africa. Upon his return to Canada after the war, he was employed with the Public Archives of Canada, to search for historical documents across the country from 1905 to 1923. Father O'Leary restored the model of the City of Quebec.
