Fonds consists of a typescript illustrated paper titled "Improvements in electric steam generation and in electric space heating", 1980, plus revisions, in which Eaton describes his work on the improvement of the Kaelin electrode boiler, on the development of other types of electrode boilers and on the development of hot water electric heating systems over the period 1922-1980. Also included is a one page account of the career of Milton Eaton, prepared by the Engineering Institute of Canada in 1959.

Eaton, Milton, b. 1892 : Milton Eaton was engaged in 1922 by Shawinigan Chemicals Ltd., a subsidiary of Shawinigan Water and Power Company, as electrical superintendant. In 1957 he retired from SCL and became a consulting electrical engineer. During the course of his career he patented a number of designs for electrode boilers and developed hot water space heating systems. He received the Gzowski Medal, 1933, and the Ross Medal.
