This consists of a variety of individual film segments prepared for a program in the weekly half-hour CJOH-produced series HOUSE ON THE HILL, about federal politics and the oepration of the House of Commons and the Senate. These segments do not constitute a complete program as broadcast and include a mixture of edited and unedited footage at various pre-production stages. The segments are as follows: Ron Collister, former CBC Parliamentary correspondent, is shown in the studio taking telephone calls from listeners of his radio open-line talk show TALK BACK. There are two brief segments, showing Collister's face in close-up. The callers talk to Collister about Alberta energy prices and the threat of Western separation. Collilster then takes a call from a Liberal poliltician [Jack Pickett], who ran in the last election and is now disgruntled with the Liberal Party. The next segment is a brief stand-up commentary by Dave Rinn, with the Calgary skyline as backdrop, on the attitudes of Western Canada to federal government policy. The final segment is an interview of [Hu Harries] about prices for Alberta oil and gas as well as Calgary's economic problems.
