CBC Television network broadcast of the JUNO AWARDS, the annual awards presentation of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). Among the presenters of awards are: Bryan Adams; Jim Vallance; Liona Boyd; Fred Penner; Billy Newton-Davis; Gil Moore of the rock group Triumph; Sam Reid and Alan Frew from the rock group Glass Tiger; and singer Samantha Fox. Among the musicians performing on the show are: Gino Vanelli; Gowan; Luba; Celine Dion; Rock and Hyde; the Nylons; the Partland Brothers; Erroll Starr and Kim Richardson. There is also a behind-the-scenes look at record producers, with emphasis on the international success of Canadian producers. There are taped testimonials by Jon Bon Jovi in tribute to Bruce Fairbairn, who worked on the group Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet album, by Bono Vox of the group U2 in tribute to Daniel Lanois, who worked on the U2 album The Joshua Tree, and by Tina Turner in tribute to Bryan Adams who produced a song on her latest record. The program also includes concert footage of the group The Guess Who, to mark the induction of the group into the Juno Hall of Fame. <2h 30mn>
