This sub-series (formerly sub-series F V) contains views of lake and ocean steamers, largely Canadian, identified by name, place, and date, as well as steam locomotives and train cars of various American and Canadian railways. Examples of Canadian railways include Canadian Pacific; Grand Trunk Western; Canadian National; Ontario Northland; Great Northern; Northern Pacific; British Columbia Railway. Views of American railways include Lehigh Valley; Delaware & Hudson; Delaware, Lackawanna and Western; and New York Central. There are also a few views of the National de Mexico railway.

Most of the negatives have captioned envelopes associated with them, except the American railway views.
