This sub-series (formerly sub-series F IX) contains a variety of negative sizes and types from, and described in, various other sub-series (more than forty percent of the sub-series are modern copies) and includes views of steam locomotives and train cars of American and Canadian railways including, but not limited to: Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo; Canadian National; Grand Trunk Western; Lake Shore & Michigan South; New York Central; Lehigh Valley; Pennsylvania; Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis; Detroit, Cairo & Sandusky; Canadian Pacific; Ulster & Delaware; Indiana Harbour Belt; Grand Trunk; Central Vermont; Delaware & Hudson; Central Railroad of New Jersey; and various private companies.

In addition, the sub-series contains the following views: ca. 20 personal views, men in uniform; also steamers, vessels and stations, with some that are owned by railways; ca. 5 copies of diagrams of train cars; ca. 30 labelled "track lifting Machinery (Fixed Assets)"; ca. 40 labelled "track, switch material" or "locomotives"; steamers and ferries associated with railways; airships, omnibuses, snowplows and snow shovels, motor trucks; street railways and city transportation systems (diesel, electric); fire engines; also personal views of Merrilees plant and 52 Lindner Street, Toronto.
