The fonds contains two photo albums with pictures taken by Charles E. Rose in the Eastern Arctic (named Nunavut since 1999) in 1929 in Hudson Straits, Cape Hope Advance. Fort Chimo (Kuujjuaq), Resolution Island, Port Burwell and Baffin Island and in 1932 at the west side of Hudson Bay, Churchill, Eskimo Point (Arviat), Chesterfield (Igluligaarjuk) and Baker Lake.

Rose, Charles Ernest : Charles Ernest Rose learned his trade skill at 16 while in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1916 to 1918, After that he was employed by the Canadian Government as a short wave operator until his retirement in 1960. His service took him to the Canadian Eastern Arctic from 1929 to 1932.
