Sub-sub-series consists of Privy Council Office (PCO) advice in the form of memoranda (termed "notes") sent to the Prime Minister between April 2009 and October 2015. These memos provided non-partisan information and advice to the Prime Minister on issues of the day. Included are decision notes; signature notes; meeting or call notes; Cabinet committee meeting notes; information notes; etc. Supporting documentation (reports, copies of earlier notes, letters received, draft outgoing letters, third-party publications, legal opinions, etc.) are also attached to many of the notes. Records are organized by the date PCO sent the note. This date is found on the note itself.

Physical description note:

Digital records received in the following file format(s): MSG, PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, WPD, and DOCX (6.86 GB). Note that the 2060 records in MSG format within this sub-sub-series are largely covering email messages to which PCO notes and other records have been attached. Approximately 9916 records in DOC, DOCX, DOT, DOTX, DRF, PDF, TIF, WPD, and XLS exist as email attachments.

Arrangement note:

PCO notes received electronically were saved to a shared computer network drive by staff in the Office of the Prime Minister - Deputy Chief of Staff unit. PCO notes received as hard copies were scanned then filed to a separate folder on the same shared network drive. This division is reflected in the files forming this sub-sub-series.
