Custodial history:

The documents were initially amongst papers transferred to the Region of Peel Archives by historian Thomas H. B. Symons, who made a series of donations to the Peel Archives on behalf of The Perkins Bull Collection Ltd. The Allan papers were a part of a 2019 transfer to the Region of Peel Archives, but are outside their archives' mandate. Nick Moreau, archivist at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives, approached LAC to see if the material would be an appropriate addition to LAC's archives.
