This file consists of photographs documenting a survey trip taken by the photographer Charles Horetzky (in the services of Sandford Fleming) from the Peace River district through to the central and coastal part of British Columbia, mostly of areas near Hazelton and Fort Simpson on the Skeena River.

Contains several photos of tipis (teepees), Red River carts, carrioles and dogs, and depictions of First Nations camps, specifically Nehiyawak (Cree), a group of Piikani at Rocky Mountain House, and a suspension bridge created by Wet'suwet'en people.
