File consists of one album containing 53 pages covering the numerical range 23814-28185; 36736-36773, with gaps. Each page of contact sheets shows several Army Numerical series photographs. The photographs are arranged both numerically and (roughly) chronologically and depict Canadian Army operations in Sicily during the Second World War. General note:

The prints in this album document Canadian army activities in Sicily from September 2, 1943 - July 3, 1944. Subjects photographed include Allied operations in Sicily and activities around Agira including the construction of the war memorial. Also included in the album are images of soldiers religious services, troops transported via ship and railway, enjoying leisure activities on leave, and repairing uniforms and equipment. The album features food distribution to civilians, Colonel Ralston visiting troops, and the British Red Cross Society Convalescent Depot.
