The participants worked towards establishing a new framework for Land Claims implementation. This conference should be a major event for anybody interested in aboriginal issues in Canada. This item contains the June 29th welcome and opening comments, as well as presentations on the major findings of reviews of the implementation of land claim agreements. The welcome and opening comments are given by conference co-chairs Frank Andrew, Grand Chief of the Sahtu Dene Council, and Paul Kaludjak, President of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.
