Collection search - SE prefix [CFB Summerside] and SB prefix [CFS Shelburne] [graphic material]

This accession consists of photographs created to document the operations of CFB Summerside, PEI [SE Prefix] and the air squadrons based there, and CFS Shelburne, NS, [SB Prefix] and the naval support facility based there. Subjects depicted in SE images include flying operations, base facilities, exercises, Search and Rescue operations and training of 413 Transportation and Rescue Squadron, and a variety of military aircraft, including Argus and Buffalo aircraft and Labrador helicopters. Other photographs depict air personnel duties, VIP visits, and ceremonies.

The CFS Shelburne images [SB prefix] contain early 1960s aerial photographs of HMCS Shelburne, and similar images of the post-unification CFS Shelburne. Other photographs document base construction projects, VIP visits, ceremonies and events, occasional RCN ship visits, and portraits of Commanding Officers and other officers serving at the station.
