This sub-series consists of records relating to individual immigrants and immigrant families. The files comprise a variety of records relating to a particular immigrant, including correspondence, immigrant information card, trip receipts, passenger ship information, and destination location in Canada. Though mostly textual in nature, some files may contain photographs and maps. Most files in volumes 5790-5940 consist of information about immigrants arriving in Canada from the late 1920s to the early 1940s. Most files in volumes 8343-8390 consist of information about immigrants arriving in Canada from the late 1930s to the late 1950s.
5790-5791: Files consist of information to immigrants supported by the Catholic Immigration Aid Society (CIAS), 1928-1938.
5792-5836: Files consist of information relating to immigrants (Ukrainian, German, Polish, Czech) supported by the German Baptist Society.
Volumes 5820-5837: Files consist of information on German and Czech immigrants and other land settlements, many supported by the Canada Colonization Association
Volume 5838: Files consists of information on Mennonite immigrants.
Volumes 5839-5847: Files consist of information on Continental Families (Non-allotments)
Volumes 5848-5878: Files consist of information on German-Czech Movement.
Volumes 5924-5940: Files consist of records relating to Community Progress Competitions.
Volumes 5890-5915 and 5921: Files consist of various reports on immigrant group, and contain numerous photographs (please MIKAN 5085592 for more details)
Volume 6052: Volume contains files with enquiries from Americans.
Volumes 6053-6057: Files contain individual Requests for Land in Western Canada.
Volumes 6058-6090: Individual immigration files.
Volumes 6091-6095: Files consist of Saskatchewan land listings.
Volume 6102: Canadian National Land Settlement Association Card Catalogue, Index of Immigrants and Land Enquiries, ca. 1939-1959.
Volumes 8310-8321: Files consist of various records and reports relating to immigrant groups and organizations in various countries, including consolidated files for British immigrants.
Volumes 8343-8390: Files consist of records relating to various "consolidated files" for immigrants, including: Australian, British, Czech, German, Danish, Italian, Ukrainian, Polish. There is also information relating to various colonization associations, such as the German Baptist Society and the Canadian Lutheran Immigration Aid Association.
