Canadians Against Suicide Bombing : Canadians Against Suicide Bombing (CANASB) was established in 2004 as a federal not-for-profit Corporation. An advocacy group, its purpose was to advocate the Government of Canada to amend the Criminal Code to clarify that suicide bombings fall within the definition of "terrorist activity". CANASB argued that it was important to specifically include suicide bombings under terrorist activity in order to help prosecutions succeed, as criminal law requires a high onus of proof. This was accomplished through a private members bill that was the brainchild of CANASB president Honourable Reuben Bromstein.

Bill S-215 and its previous iterations was sponsored by MP Kelly Block in the House of Commons and Senator Jerry Grafstein and Senator Linda Frum (following Grafstein's retirement) in the Senate. The bill was the first of its kind in the world to specifically criminalize any action that assists or promotes suicide attacks, including the recruitment of bombers and inciting the crime.

CANASB continued to advocate for the bill through petitions until 2010 when the Bill passed unanimously in the House of Commons and Senate and received royal assent on December 15, 2010.
