The mission of the Research Branch is to improve the on-going competitiveness of the Canadian food and agriculture sector through the development and transfer of innovation technologies. Specifically, the Branch's research is directed toward reducing the cost of producing and processing food, improving the quality and safety of food products, advancing environmental practices that sustain agricultural production and transferring technology.
