Accession consists of copy prints and captions used by the Canadian Embassy in Paris for promotional purposes to portray various aspects of Canadian life in the1950s through to the 1970s. Included are for example depictions of: culture, recreation, education, products made in Canada, manufacturing, industry, science & technology, transportation systems (subways and roads), cities and economic prosperity, immigration, stable secure governance (policing and government), and faces of Canadians (including celebrities). Also included are photos commemorating Canada's Centenary, 1967, and photos of Canada's participation in Expo '70 (Osaka, Japan). Credits for photographs include the National Film Board, Malak, and others.
