General note:

The Solicitor General Secretariat was created in 1973 following a reorganization which centralized the administration of the Solicitor General's office. The Secretariat creates and coordinates the implementation of policies and programmes of the department. The records consist of correspondence pertaining to aspects of criminal justice such as policy, strategic direction, penitentiaries, parole, Ministry Review Committee and law enforcement.
