Collection search - Central registry files of the Medical Services Branch, Prince Rupert Office - Pacific Region [textual record]

This accession consists of records created by the Prince Rupert office of Health and Welfare Canada and relate primarily to the activities of the Medical Services Branch in the North West Zone. A number of the files relate to various committee meetings in the zone such as, the Occupational and Public Health Officials, Mental Health Committee, and a number of Advisory Boards. Of particular interest are files that are concerned with a number of health services directed at the Native population such as the Haisla Support Home, House of Purification Society and the Rediscovery Society.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
