As with the Senate Reform sub-series above, this sub-series consists of much reference and background material on a subject, this one being the Constitution. There are copies of Levesque's writings on the sovereignty issue, and some files on Pitfield's correspondence with others on this subject. A file of some retroactive interest is Trudeau's strategy in dealing with the FLQ. There are papers with more than reference value, such as Pitfield's views on Bill C-81, his commentaries on the Bill itself, and his correspondence addressed to premiers Clyde Wells, Gary Filmon, Don Getty and Roy Romanow. There are also several files of a briefing book prepared for the Special Joint [House-Senate] Committee on Amending the Constitution of Canada.
