Along with translated Inuit correspondence, this file contains manuscripts and typescripts labeled as "Ida's stories," some in Inuktitut and one in English.They were written by Ida Ningiuk (Nangiuq) in the early 1960s. One story is titled "The man and the ptarmigan," and one is about Ida's community meeting Inuit from Greenland. There are four pencil and pen sketches that accompany Ida's stories, including two of an arctic landscape with an Inuit man and a dog sled, a small sketch of a polar bear and a small sketch of a fringed Inuit parka.
