The accession includes, but is not limited to records relating to: band membership training; fire protection; economic development, including the Canadian Aboriginal Economic Development Strategy (CAEDS), Community Economic Development Program, Resource Access Negotiations (RAN), committees and conferences, Research and Advocacy Program, Road to Success, Economic Development Opportunity Fund, Resource Partnerships Program, Resource Co-management Innovation Initiative, and Community Economic Opportunities Program (CEOP); Employment Development, including the Aboriginal Workforce Participation Initiative (AWPI); Indian Economic Development Fund (IEDF); forestry; education, including nominal rolls, funding, education reform, elementary and secondary school evaluations, parental and community engagement, educational systems development for Métis, off-reserve, and non-status individuals, post-secondary education programs and consultations, special initiatives, employment of teachers, the First Nations and Inuit Youth Employment Strategy Program, and special education services; treaty celebrations; sports and recreation; assisted living; community social services; and child and family services, including group home and institutional care, data and statistics, foster homes, First Nation Child and Family Caring Society of Canada (FNCFCS).

Custodial history:

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
