Accession consists of the Field Operations records of the Health Protection Branch. These records are subdivided into Administrative, Operational, and QUAD Project Files. Administrative records include files from the Bureau of Policy Analysis Data Management Systems. These consists of news releases, information letters, general pharmaceutical market data, and ministerial briefs. It also consists of files regarding Associations, Committees, and Conferences, including the Drug Program Executive Committee, the Interdepartmental Committee on Salmonellosis, the National Dairy Council, the Association of Official Analytical Chemists, Food Chiefs Meetings, Regulatory Health Officials Meetings, Planning Board, and Operational Meetings, as well as Finance, and Personnel records.

Operational records include files related to ATIP requests, Co-operation and liaison with other countries and departments as well as Compliance and Enforcement files including Acts and Regulations Changes and Interpretations, Convictions and Condemnations, Importation Enforcement, Replies for Ministerial Correspondence, Nutritional and Herbal Substances, Product Recalls, Orders of Dispositions of Seizures, Enforcement Reports, Individual Drug Companies, and Cosmetics and Foods. Operational files also include Food and Drug Products, with files related to Microbiology Quality of Foods, Interdepartmental Committee on Canned Foods, Drugs Research Labs, Drug Research Projects, Advertising and Labelling, Imported Drugs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Herbs and Herbal Preparations.

Records of the QUAD project consists of files pertaining to information on individual drugs.
