Collection search - Ren and Stimpy storyboard: Ren with various facial expressions

This drawing was done as part of a storyboard for the show "Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon", for the episode "Ren Seeks Help" which originally aired on July 3rd, 2003.

The cartoon was a spin off from the original Ren and Stimpy series, but was mired with controversy. "Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon" was based around mature humor with jokes overtly relating to sex and drugs. The original Ren and Stimpy cartoon, which had proved immensely popular with both kids and adults, tended towards a more subtle approach to adult humor such as innuendos or double entendres. As such, Nickelodeon refused to carry the show, which was picked up by Spike TV. However, several episodes were banned from airing and most of the original voice cast left as they feared the new show would damage their careers. Thus, it only lasted from June 2003 until August 2003 with a total 6 episodes aired.
