Series consists predominantly of records concerning Moxie Whitney's role as a band leader, music and entertainment director, and booking agent at such venues as the Royal York Hotel, the Banff Springs Hotel, and the Chateau Laurier. Also included is documentation on his activities as a hotelier at The Royal Palms of Cayman, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Included are such documents as correspondence, promotional material, musician contracts, agreements, corporate records of Moxie Whitney Orchestras Limited, draft liner notes, lists of musicians booked for engagements, lyrics, lead sheets, lists of compositions, lists of sound recordings, financial records, press clippings, promotional portraits of musicians. Correspondents include the band leader Mart Kenney and the magician Doug Henning.
