General note:

Accession consists of records created and maintained by the National Parole Board. Contents include committee records, provincial and international agreements with the federal government, and organizational review files among other records from the headquarters.

In the early 2000s, these files were removed from various accessions of the National Parole Board that had been transfered to Library and Archives Canada in the 1990s. This accession contains the records that have since been transfered back to the custody of Library and Archives Canada, grouped together in a new accession. See Finding Aid for specific information where each file originated.
