Series consists of drawings produced by Rankin while he was a student at the Glasgow School of Architecture (1902-1906). These include drawings of the order of columns and a plan of Blackader's crypt in the Glasgow Cathedral, the Faculty Hall in St. Georges Place, Alms House, Blackader's Crypt in Glasgow Cathedral and Falkland Palace.

The series also contains a book of architectural drawings pertaining to the design competition for the London (England) County Council Hall.

Items #1 - 12 were drawn by Rankin. Item #13 drawn by W. Chalmers of Dept. of Public Works (Ottawa) under Richard C. Wright, Chief Architect. Item #14 edited by Alex Koch, published by Academy Architecture, London (England).
