Description:

Documentary series concerning the 17-months-long scientific expedition of the ship Sedna IV to document the Antarctic Ocean ecosystem and the effects of global warming in this region. In this episode, the biodiversity of the Antarctic Ocean, the impact of icefields melting and of icebergs moving on the sea life, the slow freezing of the ice around the Sedna IV during the Antarctic winter, and the role of the oceans -especially the cold waters- and phytoplankton in the world’s balance, since they are responsible for the elimination of 98 per cent of earth’s carbon dioxide. <51mn 57s>
