"The map shows the position of the British Fleet and troops in 1759, shortly before the conquest of Quebec. Fortifications and points of interest are shown; notes describe the events of the conquest. The map is a copy of one appearing in John Lambert's Travels Through Canada and the United States, London 1810, Vol. I facing page 43. The map in the book is much smaller and bears the additional information "Drawn from the survey made by order of Admiral Saunders" and "Drawn by J. Lambert, engraved by Cooper"."
