On the plans it is indicated that this house is located on Dublin Street, however there is no Dublin St. in Dartmouth. This house is located on Dahlia Street and is often called "Ink Bottle House". It was built in 1871 for Gavin Holliday according to the plans of architect Henry Elliot. The three storey high house is surmounted by a cupola.
