Six watercolours relating to the life of Harold Cobb in Canada, including the following: Unloading Collier, Toronto Harbour, 1915; Unloading a Ship at Peter Arnot's Boatyard, East Esplanade, Toronto, ca. 1915; CRA Switch, Don Valley, Toronto, August 8, 1923; Canadian Northern Railroad Cars, Toronto, 1924; Crooked River, Saskatchewan, 1916; and A Saskatchewan Homestead, Canada, 1924.

Harold Cobb was born in England, apparently in May 1888; he may have been the son of H. T. Cobb, an artist who exhibited works at art exhibitions in Manchester from 1881 to 1886, when he is listed as living in Ashburton-under-Lyme.

Harold Cobb emigrated to Canada in 1908. In the 1911 census, he is listed as living in Saskatoon, where he was working as a mining clerk. According to the 1916 census, he had moved to Winnipeg, where he was working as a commercial artist, although he may have also been in Toronto in the interval, as the dates of one of these watercolours attests. He returned to England on board the Scandavian, landing at Liverpool on 2 October 1919, but he subsequently returned to Canada, as he is listed as living in Toronto in city directories until 1929, as well as being employed at Photo Engravers Ltd. from 1923-1925. He returned to England in October 1936, and may have remained there, as no further trace of him has been found. His death date is unknown, although he likely died after 1950.
