Collection consists of six atlases, likely assembled before the 1950's under the title Early Canadian Map Collection. The volumes are numbered from 1 to 6. The maps are copperplate engravings and most are hand coloured.
Volume 1 : 20 maps. 18 celestial maps, from Uranographia [...], Berlin, 1801. 2 world maps, Berlin, 1793. All by Johann Ehlert Bode.
Volume 2 : 17 maps of Europe, Africa and Asia (Germany, Italy, Greece, Turquey, Japan, Africa, Egypt) published by Aaron Arrowsmith between 1798 and 1813.
Volume 3 : 30 maps of Europe (British Isles, Scandinavia, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Corsica, Switzerland, Bosnia, Serbia, Romania, Moldavia, etc.; postal routes in France and Germany), published between 1768 and 1812 by several individuals including: Pierre Grégoire Chanlaire, C.A. Chauchard, Jean-Claude Dezauche, Franz Fried, Samuel Gustav Hermelin, Thomas Jefferys, Nils Marelius, Christian von Mechel and Caspar Wessel,
Volume 4 : 17 maps, mainly of Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Sicily, Greece, Russia, Ottoman Empire, « Hindoostan », etc.), published between 1774 and 1812 by several individuals including: C. Basset, Jean-Baptiste-Marie Chamoin, C.A. Chauchard, Louis Stanislas d'Arcy Delarochette, Jean-Claude Dezauche, William Faden, Laurie & Whittle, Conrad Mannert, Robert Mylne, Jasper Nantiat, James Rennel, Giovanni Antonio Rizzi-Zannoni and Robert de Vaugondy fils.

Volume 6 : 22 maps of Asia, Australia, New Zealand and North America published between 1811 and 1840 by several individuals including: Aaron Arrowsmith, George Atkinson and James Wyld. Three maps are showing parts of Canada (see item level descriptions).
