Collection search - Operational records of the Northwest Territories Regional office [textual record]

Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Northwest Territories Regional Office of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs in Yellowknife. The files relate to both the Native and Inuit Affairs program and the Northern program. The accession includes, but is not limited to records related to the following subject classifications assigned by the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs: Licences-Northern Inland Waters (file N-9545), Band Management (E-191/3), Band Training (E-191/25), Annuities (E-191/28), Welfare of Indians- Indian houses (E-191/29-2), Welfare of Indians- Funerals (E-191/29-3), Surveys and Reserves (E-191/30), Please note that these records are arranged under both RG10 and RG22.

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
