This sub-sub-series consists mainly of invitations and, to a lesser degree, interview requests addressed to Prime Minister Chrétien. Attached to these invitations are related outgoing and incoming correspondence, itineraries, briefing notes, memos, and background papers and working papers.

These letters document the wide range of events (often political in nature) in which Jean Chrétien was invited to participate, as well as requests for interviews with the Prime Minister. Initially received by one of the units or a member of the PMO's exempt political staff, these invitations were ultimately transferred to the Executive Assistant who set priorities and organized the agenda for the Prime Minister.
