This sub-sub-series consists of sound and audio-visual recordings produced by the Privy Council Office (mostly interviews, speeches, media scrums, press conferences, and addresses to the nation given by Prime Minister Jean Chrétien).

The sub-sub-series tracks the evolving discourse of the Liberal government from 1993 to 2003, through the records and observations of Prime Minister Jean Chrétien and those of prominent figures on the international scene. Through the recordings in which Prime Minister Chrétien recounts his personal memories, we also obtain an overview of his personal life and career.

The sub-sub-series consists of 4,234 items (1,447 video cassettes, 2,882 audio cassettes and 5 optical disks), with a total duration of some 4,300 hours.
