These files essentially document the "communications" component of the Liberal Party of Canada and its leader, Jean Chrétien, in the context of the 1993, 1997 and 2000 federal election campaigns. Among other things, it contains a series of surveys, investigations and reports that seek to determine the Canadian public's voting intentions and the issues to emphasize, as well as electoral strategies and speeches that reflect the findings. A number of these records were created by the National Liberal Caucus Research Bureau, most notably in the context of the 1993 campaign.

This sub-sub-series contains useful reference materials concerned mainly with media coverage of the 1993, 1997 and 2000 electoral campaigns: electoral platforms, bills and legal texts, texts and reports on various federal programs, statistics, surveys, promotional material, media monitoring reports, press reviews, and various talking points (in Q & A form, among others). To a lesser degree, it also contains correspondence.
