Collection search - Reproductions of W. H. Coverdale works transferred to the National Gallery of Canada [graphic material]

When the approximately 2,400 original works of art from the Manoir Richelieu were purchased by the Government of Canada, they were physically transferred to the Archives. At that time, all were photographically copied. 62 of the works were subsequently transferred to the National Gallery of Canada to form the core of their growing early Canadian watercolour and drawing collection, as the result of research and selection done by J. Russell Harper. The Archives retained photographic copies of the 62 items, which have been stored with the originals since 1970.
