Attributions and conjectures:

This work was submitted by Marie-Louis Roy a graduate of l'École des Beaux-Arts de Québec, as a voluntary submission as early as December 1966, although there is an earlier related note on the file dated 1965. Subsequent correspondence suggests the design would be kept for consideration for future stamp production. This information is based on the contents found in the Post Office Department fonds.

Physical description note:

Image depicts Christmas tree, Christmas star and Dove of Peace (14.0 x 11.4 cm) in a stylized design executed in pen and black ink with a ruled pen and ink border ; matte frames the image ; Typography : 5 cents.
