There is no release form on file at Library and Archives Canada for this interview. However, the transcript indicates an understanding between interviewer and interviewee that tape recordings and transcripts will be opened for research as of the publication of the second volume of Peter Stursberg's book on Lester B. Pearson, entitled Lester Pearson and the American dilemma, published in 1980.~4. Sir Alec Douglas-Home died on 9 October 1995.
