Sub-series entitled 'The Trans Mountain Pipeline Project' was a proposal by an American company to take surplus Alaska crude oil by water down the B.C. coastline, through the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and on to the port at Cherry Point, Washington. An environmental risk with having large tankers travelling down the Canadian coastline existed. For this reason, Anderson represented the British Columbia Wildlife Federation. Files relating to the major players, represented by Anderson, B.C. Union of Indian Chiefs, National Energy Board, and Jim Manly, M.P. from British Columbiamay be found in this group of records.
