The sous-fonds comprises the records of the Simon Fraser University project site kept by Carole Gerson, documenting the administration of the site, conferences, and editing of Volume III. The administrative files include site reports and publicity while the conference files document the local arrangements, calls for papers, submissions, and papers presented of the Volume III Open Conference at Simon Fraser University and the Volume III Author Conference at Longueuil, Quebec (vol. 82). The editorial files for volume III hold tables of contents, correspondence with the general editors, production material, book reviews, manuscripts of papers from the author conference and the peer review versions (vol. 82), the final version of the English manuscript (vol. 83), page proofs, and site log book (vol. 84), and author's files, including contracts, correspondence, and manuscripts (vols. 85-91). The sous-fonds largely complements or replicates in English the French material for Volume III found in the Université de Sherbrooke site sous-fonds.

Gerson, Carole, 1948- : Carole Gerson, a professor English at Simon Fraser University, established the project site at Simon Fraser in 2000. She was joined by post-doctoral fellow Janet Friskney from early 2001 to 2006, and by other graduate research assistants, notably Nancy Earle. Carole Gerson was editor of Volume III and the site hosted the Volume III Open Conference in November 2001.

Custodial history:

The SFU project site files in volumes 82-83 were sent to the project centre at the University of Toronto before being transferred to Library and Archives Canada, while the files in volumes 84-91 came direct to LAC from Carole Gerson at SFU.
